This pattern shows you how to make a geometric quilt embellished with adorable pirate-themed appliques. The 12 appliques are: a pirate, shark, parrot, island, ship, treasure chest, hook, octopus, sword, spyglass, skull and cross bones, and a treasure map. With this quilt-as-you-go pattern, when you are done with the quilt top, you are done quilting. Simply attach a backing using your desired method and cuddle up in your brand new blanket.

The PDF format allows you to print and re-print the instructions or pattern pieces whenever you need. It’s no problem if your puppy chews up your pattern or you loose “that one piece.” Just reprint it! Or, save some paper and trees and print only the pattern pieces. Please note that the color instructions are 6 pages long and there are 12 pages of applique tracing guides. The applique tracing guides are full-size, which means they may require some cutting and taping. Simply fold on the dashed line and match up the arrows.

Also, please note that for your applique tracing guides to print out correctly you need to be sure your printer is not set to “shrink to fit.” If this box is selected, unselect it. If you can’t see a box with this option then just make sure it is printing at 100%.
